A Bit About Me

Raymond Blalock — Substance Abuse & Trauma-Informed Counselor
About Raymond
Raymond Blalock is a survivor and advocate who has spent much of his life confronting mental health and substance use challenges. Raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, his early years were marked by trauma, incarceration, experimentation, and hardship. Through painful experiences and hard-earned honesty, he sought to understand what shaped who he had become and why. This journey led him to a path of exploration, self-reflection, and a commitment to share his story with others who are often left behind, unheard, or misled.
Mission & Approach
Raymond dedicates his life to:
- Engaging with people who have been marginalized or overlooked
- Exploring the barriers to critical thinking that can impede growth and healing
- Pursuing a deeper spiritual understanding, with the belief that transformation is possible through honesty, accountability, and meaningful inquiry
His work centers on educating, inspiring, and supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges and substance use, while highlighting the roots of behavior and the choices that lead to healthier futures.

Stay Focused!
Mustard Seed Faith!
You Got This!
Recovery isn’t a straight line, and that’s okay. Some days you’ll feel steady, and others you’ll feel the weight of the struggle. What matters is that you keep showing up for yourself, one small choice at a time. You deserve patience, compassion, and the chance to heal, even when it’s hard.
You are not defined by your addiction, but by your courage to seek a better path. Every moment you choose hope over old habits helps rebuild trust in yourself. Reach out for support, lean into those who care, and remember that progress often happens in tiny, steady steps.
Healing takes time, but you don’t have to face it alone. Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s the decision to move forward despite it. Breathe, pause, and take the next right step today. Your future self will thank you for the patience you showed along the way.
